Career Opportunities

• Candidates MUST have bachelors degree or higher in one of the following: Early Childhood, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, Special Education: Deaf/Hard of Hearing or Blind/Partially Sighted, Child Development, EI or Elementary Education, or from an EI approved college/university program (i.e., a program for which the Department or its designee has determined that the degree is equivalent to one of the above stated degrees)

**Early Intervention Certifications not required but it is a plus

• Comfortable conducting in-home developmental therapy to children (ages birth to 3 years old)
• Ability to develop goal-based care plans and be able to apply critical thinking skills to increase child’s optimal developmental health
• Work in a team based atmosphere, with an emphasis on communicating with other healthcare professionals
• Excellent written, oral and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently
• Computer/tablet proficient and comfortable with digital charting
• Must have your own vehicle

• Must be fluent in Spanish (written and oral) and pass all testing and certification required by the Illinois Early Intervention Program
• Comfortable conducting in-home Spanish interpreting services for families with children enrolled in Early Intervention (ages birth to 3 years old)
• Comfortable providing interpreting services in healthcare facilities for families attending medical visits or testing for their child
• Work in a team based atmosphere, with an emphasis on communicating with other healthcare professionals
• Excellent written, oral and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently
• Computer/tablet proficient and comfortable with digital charting
• Must have your own vehicle
